James R. Doty

About

James R. Doty, M.D. is a professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Stanford University School of Medicine. He is also the founder and director of the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE) at Stanford University of which His Holiness the Dalai Lama is the founding benefactor. He is an inventor, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He holds multiple patents and is the former CEO of Accuray (ARAY:NASDAQ) manufacturer of the CyberKnife. He remains a consultant and operating partner to a number of venture capital firms and is an advisor & to the Fogarty Institute of Innovation. He is on the board of HealthCubed which manufactures a technology for collecting and transferring patient data to the cloud and performing lab tests at point of care in rural healthcare environments. He is the New York Times bestselling author of Into the Magic Shop: A Neurosurgeon’s Quest to Discovery the Mysteries of the Brain and the Secrets of the Heart now translated into 31 languages.

Shalini Mahtani

About

Shalini Mahtani is one of Hong Kong’s most authoritative and respected voices on social issues, particularly diversity and inclusion. In addition to founding The Zubin Foundation, among the city’s most accomplished think tanks on issues related to ethnic minority welfare and patient welfare, Shalini is the founder of Community Business, the first organisation in Asia that brings together companies and their management around women, LGBT and disabilities at work. In 2009, Shalini was honoured by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader, and a year prior she was awarded an MBE from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for her services in corporate social responsibility in Hong Kong. She was also recognised by the HKSAR Government for her contribution to issues related to ethnic minorities in Hong Kong.

Kishore Sakhrani

For over 20 years, Kishore was a co-founder and director of the ICS group of companies. Subsequent to their sale in 2012, Kishore focused on working with charitable institutions in Hong Kong. He is the board chair for Community Business Ltd., an NGO that focuses on Asian Corporate Social Responsibility. He is also an advisor to Hospital Advisor Ltd., a social enterprise focused on improving transparency in HK hospitals. Kishore also chairs the HK chapter of the International Business Structuring Association, a UK based social enterprise aimed at improving standards in international business transactions.

DR. ARIELLA (ARIEL) ROSITA KING, MPH, MBA, PhD, DH&TM Dr. Ariella (Ariel) R. King is the Founder, and President Ariel Consulting International, Inc. (http://www.ArielConsult.com), a company that creates and enhances Public-Private Partnerships between Business, Government, Non-Government (NGO) and International Multi-lateral organizations in strategic planning, policy, and management. Along with two colleagues, H.E. Ambassador Joseph Huggins (USA) and H.E. Ambassador Molelekeng Rapolaki (Kingdom of Lesotho) founded The Ariel Foundation International in 2000 and fully registered in the USA in 2002 (http://www.ArielFoundation.org) as a non-profit organization with an international focus on children and youth in Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Community Service world-wide. The Ariel Foundation is Chaired by H.E. Ambassador Joseph Huggins. In 2008 Dr. King founded the Ariana-Leilani Children’s Foundation International to educate and advocate for Children’s Human Rights (UNCRC) (http://www.Ariana-LeilaniFoundation.org). Dr. King has over 30 years of experience in international policy, diplomatic relations, policy and international management in government, business and NGOs, and international health. Dr. King's focus on International Public-Private Partnerships has its foundation of 35 years of living and working in 13 countries and traveling to over 70 countries. Dr. King is an Author, Professional speaker, professor, researcher and activist for youth and children’s human rights including participation, leadership, entrepreneurship and community service. She is also a Tedx speaker in Tunisia. Dr. King’s professional activities also include children and youth human rights advocate Main Permanent Representative at the United Nations (Vienna, New York, Rome and Geneva for selected meetings). In Addition she serves as the representative for AFI at the European Union. Recently, Dr. King is on the Advisory Board of “Giftadeed”, and the Chair of the Election Committee for Eurochild (2016-2018) and was a Trustee for the Friends of Madagascar Advisory Council (FOMAC in USA) lead by the late H. E. Ambassador Joycelyn Radifera, Acid Survivors Trust International (ASTI) with patron HRH Princess Ann Royal, and the Children’s Rights Alliance of England (Just for Kids Law). Dr King has also represented the International Council of Women (Paris) at various UN meetings and has served on the Boards of Directors of the National Black Women's Health Project, Positive Art: Women and Children with HIV/AIDS in South Africa, The Life Foundation: AIDS Foundation of Hawaii, The Black Alliance for AIDS Prevention, the Pediatric HIV/AIDS Care, Inc., and the Ronald McDonald House (sick children and their families). Dr. King is a Founding and Board member of Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP), member of the Women's Foreign Policy Group (WFPG), and has been active member of various International Rotary Clubs as a Rotarian (and Group Study Exchange and Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar) for over twenty years. Dr. King has completed her second doctorate (PhD) on the subject of “Psycho-social support by local community members for their traumatised children: A Case Study of Botswana, Liberia and Morocco” in December 2018, Dr. King holds a Diploma in Health and Tropical Medicine and PhD (DH&TM) and a Doctorate in Philosophy (PhD) in Public Health and Policy from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine; a Master in Business Administration, MBA in International Management from Thunderbird American Graduate School of International Management, and a MPH, Master in Public Health in international Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health in 1994, and a BA, Bachelor of Arts from the University of Hawaii in 1988.
